Bell is seeking an Aviation Technician candidate to support the On-Site Quick Response Team (OSQRT), MCAS New River, Jacksonville, NC. Applicant will maintain competency to provide support in the operation and maintenance of all systems of the military product, to include avionics, airframe electrical, drive train, Powerplant, and ASE equipment. This position requires experience and technical expertise on military aircraft products operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Candidate will provide on-site company representation and technical support to military customers and initiates corrective actions to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.
Candidate Will utilize technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance by investigating product problems, determining causes, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
Candidate will understand customer expectations and assist the customer in interpreting and using support data and documents, provide technical on-the-job training, and act as the on-site liaison between the company and customer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical operational issues.
Candidate will be able to develop excellent relationships across multiple organizations and with all levels of military customer and company personnel to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.
Candidate will Prepare current activity reports, and product status reports to maintain optimal product performance at maximum cost efficiency for customers.
Travel with the squadron to off-site locations to include overseas will be required. Travel may include deployments at sea and/or to hostile environments. Amount of travel will vary.
Two years of technical college/trade school or extensive military training.
Extensive hands on V-22 maintenance support experience within the Air Force or Marine organizations required.
O Level flight line & troubleshooting experience required.
Experience in military occupation specialties (MOS) 6116 Tiltrotor Mechanic preferred.
Ability to work with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI).
Must have the ability to evaluate damage and perform applicable repair.
FAA A&P certification.
Must be able to perform operations/functional checks and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
Experience with naval aviation maintenance policies, procedure, documentation procedures is required.
Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance is preferred. Candidate must possess the ability and attitude to work in a team environment and must possess good communications and information technology skills.
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience working on military and/or commercial aircraft heavy maintenance.
