In December 2003, Columbia Avionics’ lease expired (within Sierra Industries Facilities) and Manuel opened RizoJet Avionics International. RizoJet received its Repair Station Certification from the FAA on December 16, 2004 and soon gained dealerships with avionics manufactures to include Garmin Avionics, L3 Avionics, Sandel, Shadin and Universal Avionics. Manuel continued growing the company over the following years and expanded its business offerings beyond avionics installations on aircraft Manuel had experience working on to include King Airs, LearJets, and Hawkers. RizoJets customer base grew and in response to customer request, they added trained and experienced employees allowing for greater airframe capabilities to include turboprop and jet aircraft maintenance, light interior refurbishment work. RizoJets success in maintenance and inspections lead to additional training at well renowned training facility programs offered by Flight Safety International. Manuel also attended two to three week long courses for each aircraft that was added to the FAA Repair Station including the Cessna Citation 500 series and the Cessna Citation CJ trough CJ3 series. RizoJet listened to their international customers’ needs and in an effort to improve their services, retain loyal customers, and attract new customers from Mexico; RizoJet obtained Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC Mexico) certification. DGAC Authorizationas are identical to its FAA Operational Specifications and Capabilities List. RizoJet Avionics Internationals continued success is due to Manuel and THE TEAMS continued passion with continued visitation of its MISSION STATEMENT, VISION and CORE VALUES. The result of years of hard work, determination and loyal customers: Customers could now come to a single location for avionics, maintenance and inspections. RizoJet Avionics International, LLC is located at Austin Executive Airport with ICAO identifier of KEDC. We are physically located at Hangar AC103, Suite A, on the southern part of Runway 13/31 near the beacon and Henrickson Jet Center FBO. We are conveniently located 90 minutes North of San Antonio International Airport and 30 minutes North of Austin -Bergstrom International Airport. Our international customers generally clear US Customs in Austin-Bergstrom, San Antonio, Laredo and Brownsville, Texas. Our FAA Repair Station Ops Specifications allows for RizoJet to operate on a non-continuous/permanent basis in the nearby surrounding AUSTIN AREA; as far as San Antonio, Houston and Dallas areas.
